Installation and use of electron tubes
Installation and use of electron tubes
1. Installation
Before installing the tube on the machine, wipe off the dust with a clean soft cloth. Note that the ceramic surface should not be in contact with metal objects, so as not to damage the insulation performance of the ceramic surface. At the same time, it is forbidden to write on the ceramic surface with a pencil or touch it by hand (this item is also applicable to the electronic tube that the user requires a refund). In addition, the socket must be inspected. If the socket reed is seriously deformed or has lost its elasticity, the socket or reed should be replaced. If there is dust or foreign matter on the socket, it should be removed.
The connection of the electron tube is required to be uniform and reliable. When installing the tube, the tube should not be rotated in the circumferential direction to avoid contamination or scratches on the surface of the tube. No part of the electron tube can be connected to the equipment by welding. The cooling part shall not be disassembled at will.
Before putting the tube on the machine, use a megger to check whether there is an open circuit or short circuit between the electrodes. If possible, it is better to add cold and high pressure to deburr to avoid sparking on the machine.
During the use of the electronic tube, pay attention to whether the lead-out ring is in good contact with the reed of the tube socket, otherwise it will cause local ignition, cause the electronic tube to break down, cause chronic air leakage, and cause the electronic tube to fail.
2. Use
(1) Operation sequence of starting and shutting down
After the electron tube is on, the cooling system can be switched on before the voltage of each electrode can be applied. The order of voltage applied to each electrode is: filament voltage-first grid voltage-anode voltage-second grid voltage-excitation voltage. Before applying a grid voltage, the filament voltage must have a certain preheating time.
When shutting down, the sequence of disconnecting the voltage of each electrode is d when it is connected. After turning off the filament voltage, the cooling ventilation system must be maintained for at least 15 minutes before turning off.
(2) Explanation of filament voltage
The high-power electronic tube filament power supply is connected and cut too many times, which will accelerate the deformation of the cathode and shorten the life of the tube. Therefore, when the tube is used for periodic interruption of work, it is recommended to add a black filament. The filament voltage is 2V. Turn on the cooling system.
(3) The aging of electron tubes
New tubes and tubes that have been stored for a long time should be aged for more than 2 hours with the rated filament voltage when they are used on the machine. If conditions permit, under low power output conditions, a period of aging is better.
